What worries small business owners the most

What worries small business owners the most is not government regulation, not high taxes, not the cost of wages and benefits.  What worries small business owners the most is lack of sales.

Here are the figures, as compiled by the National Federation of Independent Business.

Over the years small business owners have been more concerned about government regulation than lack of customers.  This is no longer the case.

What American business needs is for American workers to be employed at jobs with wages sufficient for them to buy its products.  Unemployment under current conditions is self-perpetuating.  It won’t get better by itself anytime soon.  Why not put people to work doing things that need to be done anyway, recession or no recession?

I found these graphs in a post on the Rortybomb web log.
