    I work with a nice fellow who used to be a VP at JP Morgan Chase in Manhattan. He worked in a section of the company that gave him access to people’s salaries.

    He said the average banker’s salary was upwards of $700k a year, and these weren’t stock traders, just normal bankers.

    Surely they don’t create that much value to merit such pay.
