I’m not especially concerned about marketing and advertising agencies learning about my brand preferences, although this is something I could do without.

I am concerned about insurance companies, credit agencies, employment agencies (if I were still in the job market) collecting data—possibly incomplete data—that can be used against me without my knowledge.

I am especially concerned about Homeland Security agencies collecting data to be used to make inferences—whether correct or not—about my political beliefs and loyalties.
