Just as true today as it was back in the sixties!
Takes me back to a quote I heard, “What’s happening is not what’s going on!”

Thank you Phil. Passed it along on UU A Way Of Life. I love it. Can you imagine if it was played in church?

A friend of mine e-mailed me as follows

I once discussed the original “Buffalo Springfield” version of “For What It’s Worth” (the band’s title came from a company that made earth-moving equipment) with Edgar Z. Friedenberg, who wrote “Coming of Age in America.”

He told me something I didn’t know: that the original context of that song was the LAPD’s cracking down on disaffected teenagers gathering on that city’s streets, ca.1966-67.
