If I was a partisan Republican, I would be happy with the 2020 election results as reported so far.
- The GOP no longer has to make excuses for the antics of Donald Trump.
- Democrats have to explain away the apparent cognitive decline of Joe Biden.
- As the incumbent, Joe Biden will get the blame for the looming interconnected economic, medical, climate, political and international crises.
- Biden’s likely Democratic successor will be the unpopular Kamala Harris.
- The GOP continues to increase its share of the Hispanic vote, the fastest-growing U.S. demographic category.
- The GOP has a chance to keep its majority in the U.S. Senate.
- The GOP gained seats in the U.S. House of Representatives.
- Six of the nine Supreme Court justices are conservatives appointed by Republicans.
- The GOP increased its representation in state legislatures in time for the post-2020 redistricting.

I keep suggesting to folks that in reality the Democrats lost as much as they gained. They think I must be a crazy Trump supporter.

Oh, Carpenter! You have hit 9 nails on the head.
WATCH OUT for #3 because nobody believes that Biden and the corporate liberals who control the Dem Party are going to handle it- at least not without some more help from progressives.
