I have a number of people on the left as friends. Half of them don’t believe the left is capable of such thing and the other half wants to completely disenfranchise anyone to the right of Bernie Sanders.

I think that, in our time, the greatest threat to civil liberties and freedom of the press comes not from the so-called extremists of the right or left, but from the “centrist” defenders of the status quo.
